Dumb Blonde asked: whenever I make jewellry, and i’ve made qutie a bit, the string always breaks, or the knots come undone, because the string is too thick, too thin, whatever. And wire never turns out right and always stabs into my skin so i can’t even wear the jewelry. Any and all suggestions are helpful!

VidelR asked: I buy my jewelry from department stores like Macy and also places like Walmart. Over time some of these jewelry tarnish. I want to clean them using tarnish remover, but how do I know if the jewelry is made out of silver, brass, steel, or whatnot? Will a tarnish remover work on most of the jewelry pieces or will it ruin some of them? Thanks.

Karl O asked: I just started beading and cant seem to get the crimping bead on tight enough when attaching a clasp or jump ring. I pull the beading wire through the crimping bead twice (in opposite directions). After I crimp the bead, it seems tight but then when I pull to see if it is tight, it comes apart.

Stella asked: I want to start a jewelry business and I would like to use the word ‘Couture’ as part of the title. I make high quality jewelry with modern and vintage jewelry pieces mixed in. I’ve searched the meaning of couture and come up with fashion design and clothing related, but can it work for jewelry?
