Using 0.3 mm beading wire, how do you tie off the end of a dangling earring. We have needle- nosed pliers. How do we ensure it does not come undone?

3mm wire is very thick to be used for an earring. I would advise using something much thinner in the creation of an earring. Maybe 24 or 26mm. Remember, the larger the number, the thinner the wire.
If you are making a basic pair of strung beads (just a simple line), you may want to use a head pin instead of wire.
If you are creating a loop earring, you would want to bring both ends up, create a loop and then wrap the wire around just under the loop. Make sure to smash the ends down really well so anyone wearing the earrings won’t be scratched by the cut end.

You could also try using a crimp bead on your wire and a crimp bead cover so it looks a little fancier.
A crimp bead is a small metal round or tube shaped jewelry finding that you squeeze together with a plier. It works as a “stop” on jewelry wire. SpecYaLater
