Travel Jewelry case? Any ideas on how to make one homemade?

I don’t want to spend money on a travel case for jewelry. So I was wondering if someone could give me tips on making a case or special ways to pack jewelry so I won’t lose it and it won’t get tangled. Thanks for your help.
