Where can I buy cheap wire for jewelry making?
J-Kun asked:
I make wire jewelry and want to expand to gold and silver, but everything I can find is pretty pricey. I also need copper, steel, and brass wire for what I make. Know of anywhere I can find it cheap?

I think you can get the cooper, steel and brass wire at a Home Depot or Lowe’s at a decent price but the gold and silver the only place I can think of is at a jewelry store. The craft store that you frequent for your supplies you should ask an employee that works there, they probably will have a better idea about it. txflowerblossom

Try with Pasternak Findings. They offer great prices on gold and silver findings and an excellent service.
Silver wires:
Gold wires:
Goldfilled wires:
Of course, solid gold and silver are never cheap. These are precious metals that depend on global exchange market…
Good luck!

At one point I worked for a company called Stuller Mountings, they are in Lafayette Louisiana and they are the largest findings and mountings company in the US (to my knowledge); I know they have their own Fedex plane. Stuller offers all kinds of wire mostly gold, platinum and silver but I believe also in alloy. If they don’t have it try A&A Findings, its a bit hard to say who has the right wire because I don’t know what gauge but both companies should have a variety of wire. Ideal Brand Marketing

Try for gold and sterling silver wire, and for all other base metals. MsPearl
